Installing the Serial RS-232 Interface Card (Meilhaus)

The following Meilhaus RS-232 interface cards are availble from Dionex:

• ME-9000 card with four serial interfaces (Dionex part number 5906.2094)

• ME-9000 card with eight serial interfaces (Dionex part number 5906.2095)

• ME-9200 card with two RS-232 interfaces and one LPT interface ( (Dionex part number: 5906.2093). The card can be used for installation on standard PC housings or small PCs with low-profile slots.

 Tips:  

All cards require a Meilhaus card driver. Verify that you are using the driver that supports your operating system. If your current Meilhaus card driver is not compatible with your operating system, visit http://www.meilhaus.de/en/ to download a driver update. Installation of a special Chromeleon driver is not required.

The ME-9000 interface card is compatible with the Meilhaus ME-9100 serial RS-232 interface card (with either four or eight serial interfaces) that is no longer available from Dionex.

Meilhaus ME-9000 cards

1. Read the information in the Readme.txt file (available in the Root directory on the Meilhaus Electronic Support CD, which is shipped with the card).

2. Turn off the computer and install the card in the PC. Use appropriate grounding protection to avoid electrostatic discharge, which may result in damage to electronic components.

3. Follow the installation instructions in the Meilhaus manual. (The manual is available on the Meilhaus Electronic Support CD.)

4. Install the appropriate card driver, as required by your operating system. Visit http://www.meilhaus.de/en/ for driver downloads.

Meilhaus ME-9200 card

1. Read the installation notes that are available on the installation CD.

2. Turn off the computer and install the card in the PC. Use appropriate grounding protection to avoid electrostatic discharge, which may result in damage to electronic components.

3. Install the appropriate card driver, as required by your operating system. Visit http://www.meilhaus.de/en/ for driver downloads.
